A Whole Day of Mountain Village Life: From Cow's Milk to Homemade Cheese

High in the Carpathian mountains, far from the nearest town, our family spends the whole day making cheese from our own cow's milk — and then cooking a warm meal for everyone. From morning milking to the evening table, everything is done by hand, the way it has been done here for generations. We are a young family with three children living in Dzembronia, one of the highest mountain villages in Ukraine — no electricity, no running water, only a spring, our animals and the mountains around us.
