Lawyer for those arrested in San Julián denounces “State terrorism” and announces lawsuit against the Santa Cruz Youth Union #SantaCruz Henrry Zeballos, the lawyer for the five people arrested during the operation to clear the roadblocks in San Julián, denounced the unacceptable intervention of the President of the State, along with two ministers, in the roadblocks and their collusion with the Santa Cruz Youth Union (UJC), an organization he described as a group of “criminals.” He maintained that members of the UJC had carried out looting in the municipality of San Julián, a situation that provoked a reaction from residents who came out to defend their property. He also asserted that three of those arrested were handed over by members of this group and subsequently presented by the police as “the worst criminals.” Zeballos criticized the fact that his clients have been charged with crimes such as organized crime, terrorism, and misuse of firearms, among other offenses. He also announced the filing of a criminal complaint against the president of the Santa Cruz Youth Union, arguing that there is evidence demonstrating that none of those arrested participated in the events under investigation.
