Counting by Tens: Using Beads
Debra Dennill | Wichita Collegiate School | Wichita, KS In this lesson, the teacher uses written numbers and bead bars to demonstrate counting by tens. Students take turns placing the correct number of bars to represent 10, 20, 30 and so on, until they reach 100. The class counts together out loud as the bars are placed and then reviews with a song.
