The German premiere of Sister Act – A Heavenly Musical at the TUI Operettenhaus in Hamburg was celebrated with minutes of standing ovations. Along with nearly 1,400 enthusiastic guests, co-producer and Hollywood star Whoopi Goldberg was also on her feet after the encore. The almost three-hour show was punctuated by frequent bursts of applause, and the performance and the entire cast were met with euphoric applause from the audience.
