One of my favourite stones apart from pearls. A little bit about opals: Opal is known for its unique display of flashing rainbow colors called play-of-color. There are two broad classes of opal: precious and common. As they bend, they break up into the colors of the rainbow, called spectral colors. And that was our goal; create faux opals using just resin and flakes. Perfect combined with some pigment and you can let your imagination rip and come up with all sorts of faux opals in beautiful tones.
