MPS and MIVO Multi In Vitro Organ-on-chip: Advancing translational researcher and Drug Testing

🔬 Virtual Seminar | MPS_NOVA Twinning Program Speaker: Silvia Scaglione (React4life / Università degli Studi di Genova) Title: MPS and MIVO Multi In Vitro Organ-on-chip: Advancing translational research and Drug Testing Silvia focuses on how MPS can bridge the gap between conventional static cultures and in vivo studies, supporting more predictive assessment of drug efficacy, toxicity, permeability, immune interactions, and tissue response. Particular attention is given to the value of dynamic flow, modular tissue integration, and multi-endpoint analysis in improving biological relevance and translational interpretation. 🔹 About MPS_NOVA EU Twinning Project MPS_NOVA is an EU Horizon Twinning project led by ITQB NOVA in collaboration with NOVA Medical School (NMS). The project aims to establish a European Hub of Excellence in Microphysiological Systems (MPS), using pluripotent stem cell technologies to enhance biomedical research at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA). MPS_NOVA is at the forefront of chronic disease modeling and host-microbe interaction studies, leveraging cutting-edge human-relevant systems like Organ-on-a-Chip devices and organoids. 📩 Follow us on YouTube and LinkedIn (mps-nova-twinning), and visit our website https://mpsnova.itqb.unl.pt/ for updates!
