Do we dismiss this as ‘rainbow washing’ and profiteering, or must we recognise the positive effects of increased normalisation of the flag on the LGBTQIA+ community? During Pride Month this June, when the movement is more welcoming and accessible than ever, we weigh up whether this new norm has done more harm than good.
