This time, my husband and I went on a motorbike ride in search of the spectacular scenery of the unexplored natural wonders of Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, in the Tohoku region. First, we drove along Aomori Prefectural Route 1 (Umineko Line) to Ashigezaki Observatory, which resembles the ruins of a Western castle. The view we saw there was breathtaking, a fantastical world with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Next, we headed to the mysterious Kabushima Shrine, standing alone on an island. Although the black-tailed gulls were absent as their breeding season had ended, we were still moved by the charming scenery of the island, sea, and shrine. Food is an essential part of any trip. At Ashigezaki Observatory, we enjoyed the soft serve ice cream from the popular restaurant Holonbair, a delicious seafood bowl at Shibutei Iso Ryori (Seafood Restaurant) on Tanesashi Coast, and we also enjoyed stylish cafes and exquisite food. Once again, our motorbike trip was filled with beautiful scenery that made us think, "Wow, a place like this exists..."
