Aixro XR50 Rotary Engine Dismantle (Renntech Mercedes SLR 50 Go Kart)

Saturday March 6th, 2021 Here’s a break away from all the welding and grinding I’m doing on the 914. I had a lead on purchasing this go kart from a family member last summer and I must say I’m super looking forward to getting it ready for the track! In this video I show the quick view of dismantling my rotary Aixro XR50 Motor attached to a Renntech Mercedes SLR50 Go Kart. It was of no surprise that I found some damage that wasn’t mentioned upon purchase, but I feel that there was more to the story than the gentleman I bought it from shared with me. Regardless it’s a fun project and a new experience with the rotary motor. I’ll be back to posting about the 914 next week, stay tuned for the upper roof pillar!
