Special Mission Unit Heads to a Remote Island" (directed by Seiji Izumi) held in Tokyo on April 26th. Regarding the fact that the third film in the popular drama series premiered on the same day, Mizutani expressed his delight, saying, "It started as a TV series, and then became a film. After the first one was completed, I was happy to be able to make the second one, but then Kaito (Toru Kai) (played by Narimiya) joined the team. The AIBOU series is a detective drama in which career detective Ukyo, a detective in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's "Special Mission Unit," solves difficult cases with his genius mind and partner. "AIBOU: The Movie 3" is set on a remote island in the middle of the ocean, where Ukyo (Mizutani) and Kyo (Narimiya) take on difficult cases. Other cast members who appear include Oikawa Mitsuhiro, who plays Kyo's previous partner Kobe Takeru, Ishizaka Koji, who plays Kyo's father and Deputy Commissioner of the National Police Agency, Kai Mineaki, Ihara Tsuyoshi, Shaku Yumiko, and Takuma Shin. All of the main cast members were present for the stage greeting. Guest star Shaku said, "I was surprised to learn that Mizutani can control the weather." He shared an anecdote, saying, "In Okinawa (where filming took place), it looked like it was going to rain no matter how you looked at it, but Mizutani said, 'I've made it sunny,' and it really was sunny throughout the entire filming period..."
