Eating INDIAN FOOD with TORRANCE COOMBS from REIGN and THE ORIGINALS | Los Angeles, CA!
🧳 TORRANCE COOMBS: / torrancecoombs 🇮🇳 BOMBAY FRANKIE COMPANY: / bombayfrankiela ✈️ CHECK OUT MY TRAVEL BLOG: https://davidsbeenhere.com/ During my trip to Los Angeles, I had the chance to eat an amazing Indian food meal with Torrance Coombs, an insanely talented actor you guys probably know from shows like Reign, The Originals, and The Tudors. Come with us as we try some delicious Indian food in Los Angeles! For this food adventure, we met up at The Bombay Frankie Company, a fantastic Indian eatery in Culver City that’s known for their kathi rolls. Torrance and I both love spicy foods, so this would be the perfect place for us to chow down on some fiery Indian dishes! 👕 DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH: https://teespring.com/stores/davids-b... They have a lot of popular staples there, like chicken tikka masala, aloo gobhi, chana masala, yellow daal, saag paneer, and chicken and veg biryanis. They don’t use cream or butter so as to cater to the Californian palate. Inside, I met Priyanka, who told me The Bombay Frankie Company started in a gas station and now they have an amazing location in Culver City with outdoor seating! Then, I watched them prepare a sort of stir-fried chicken biryani, and garlic naan on a grill. They used the naan to make the chicken tikka masala frankie, or kathi roll! At our table, we had our frankie, chicken biryani, fish tacos using naan and fish pakora with tamarind chutney and raita, a potato samosa, a beef samosa, and both tamarind and mint chutneys. I loved the beef samosa. It was juicy and had a nice, light crunch! The spices in the potato samosa were also great. Eating them with the tamarind chutney was great! We also had rose lassi and mango lassi, which help cool you down after spicy food! The fish tacos had a nice masala and spicy cabbage in it. The naan held together better than a tortilla, and the taco had a lots of signature Indian influences. Next, we jumped on the frankie, or kathi roll. It was creamy and refreshing, and the naan was top notch. The naan really held together well! Then, we tried the saag paneer with some garlic naan. Torrance isn’t usually a big cottage cheese fan, but he loved it! It had a bit of heat to it! After that, I taught him how to dig into the biryani with his fingers and eat it with his hands. He said it tasted like the curry his parents used to make when he was a kid. Adding the raita made it really creamy, and mixing the saag paneer added some delicious earthiness! Then, we tried some Indian beers. We started with a Woodpecker, which was very smooth. We loved the beer and the Bombay Frankie. I also loved the biryani!
