Campane dell'oasi di Sant'Antonio in Perugia

The futuristic bell tower of Sant'Antonio di Padova in Perugia rises majestically as an extension of the parish church itself. From a height of over 30 meters, eight bells, cast by the Marinelli foundry in 1969 and tuned to the G major scale (G, A, B, C, D, E, Gb, G), peal out their voices. The four largest bells are electrified with rapid strike; the remaining half are fixed and rung by electric hammer. On the roof of the parish building, two bells are housed in a bell gable, no longer in use. The largest was cast by Giovanni Battista Donati of L'Aquila in 1740; the smaller by Bacchettini of Foligno in 1807. In the video, we observe some maintenance and various tests.
