As soon as I arrived in Guinea, I was struck by the number of albinos I saw on the streets, especially those begging or in vulnerable situations. My friend Lissa took me to an orphanage where I learned details about the situation of people with albinism in Africa that I was completely unaware of, and when I crossed into Sierra Leone, I continued to delve deeper into the subject. This is a different kind of video than I usually make. I borrowed some journalistic techniques and tried to create a more informative/educational video about a problem that is completely foreign to us and, moreover, deeply invisible in a continent that is already quite forgotten.
