The worrying economic crisis in Paraguay has led to a massive resurgence of the practice of buying on credit in the capital's neighborhoods. Although the country's macroeconomic indicators show positive growth, this prosperity is not reflected in the purchasing power of ordinary citizens. Representatives of the retail sector warn that families are now forced to go into debt just to eat, using credit cards or other payment methods to buy basic necessities.
