Qibainong 4K HDR – Extreme Mountain Road Through Stunning Geological Wonders | China

On this journey, we travel through the breathtaking Dahua Qibainong National Geopark in Guangxi. The entire route lies within the core zone of a classic karst landscape, where the density of limestone peaks is considered among the highest in the world — a truly global geological wonder. We start our journey at the entrance of Qibainong, right in front of the statue of Miluo Tuo, the creator goddess worshipped by the Yao people. Miluo Tuo holds a very special place in their culture, and Qibainong remains one of the most important centers of her worship. That little plaza where we begin isn’t just a tourist spot — it’s also where local ceremonies and rituals still take place. Once we set off, we quickly enter the core area known as a “hidden paradise.” Along the way, you’ll see cone-shaped peaks soaring up to around 300 meters, and deep circular depressions called “nong” that drop 200 to 300 meters below. Within about 251 square kilometers, there are over 5,000 limestone peaks and 1,300 depressions packed tightly together. Scattered among these valleys are 324 traditional Yao villages, like stars across the landscape, with their tiled wooden houses and terraced fields blending naturally into the mountains. After passing through Bao’an Township, the peak density starts to thin out, and the terrain becomes more gentle. The road weaves through a mix of peaks and valleys here. Some parts are under repair because of landslides or falling rocks, so the road conditions can be a bit up and down — but almost every turn offers a view that’ll make you want to stop and take it all in. Our trip ends in Du’an Yao Autonomous County. By this point, the scenery shifts again, moving from dense karst peaks and depressions to more open peak-valley landscapes and underground river skylights. In the distance, the ridges of the Duyang Mountains stretch across the horizon like a painting. This route really captures the best of northwestern Guangxi’s karst landscape — it’s a journey where stunning natural wonders meet rich Yao culture. Hope you enjoy the trip! ♥♥♥
