LIVE & UNSCRIPTED! A small wholecloth quilt

This is a special little project and I've got some gorgeous but not-terribly-fussy custom free motion quilting going on. It features marking tips, feathers, and ruler work. I think you'll love this one! This idea began with our son requesting a quilt he could gift to a friend's baby girl. Of course I said sure! And then....oh gosh! Now I've gotta make a quilt! Wholecloth seemed like a great solution - quilting is my favorite part, so the machine quilting would be the focus, and I would save all the time of piecing. This episode is streamed LIVE and in real time, with viewer questions and interaction throughout. I chose a solid pale coral-y pink (Kona solid from my stash) for the quilt top, and a gorgeous coneflower floral (Painted Meadows by Robin Pickens) for the backing. It's difficult to capture on camera the true color of the pale pink, but in real life it blends beautifully with the backing, producing a quilt that's gorgeous on both sides. Win, win.
