Pink Broomstick® Snow Angel Floor Slide: Rehabilitation Exercise for Breast Cancer Surgery

Plan to begin this exercise program as soon as your physician gives you permission. When you begin these exercises, you may find that you tire easily and that there is some discomfort as you attempt to do them. However, continue to do them to the point of slight discomfort but not until it becomes painful. Work at your own pace and do these exercises on a regular basis. If you experience a sharp increase in pain or swelling, consult your physician immediately. If you continue to have problems with your motion and strength for 6-8 weeks after surgery, please contact your physician. Snow Angel Floor Slide: 1. Arms down by your sides, palms up, elbows straight. 2. Slide your arms along the floor moving out to the side away from you and then overhead as far as you can comfortably go. 3. Hold for a count of 5 and slowly slide down. The end goal of the snow angel floor slide is to touch palms together overhead as if clapping.
