This was because, in the early years, Mom would only ride as far as Taichung on the first day, and on the second day, her first choice was usually her favorite, Tainan. Mom loves fish head hot pot, and we used to frequently drive to Chiayi for food and drinks. In the last two years, we've returned to Chiayi two or three times, and Mom suddenly asked: "Chiayi is clearly a great place to eat and play! Why don't we stop there much during our round-the-island trip?" "Because you..." "I can't cycle to Chiayi on the first day, and cycling from Taichung on the second day seems too close. I also don't want to stay overnight in both Chiayi and Tainan, so you only chose Tainan 😅" "Then, regardless of whether I can cycle there on the first day, let's plan to stay in Chiayi for one night this year!" So today's itinerary isn't long, just a short trip to Kaohsiung, to leave more time to explore Chiayi City. We've visited some attractions before, and eaten at some familiar restaurants, so we'll revisit and eat at those we like. Of course, we also visited some unexpectedly nice spots. Cycling around the island can be this carefree and relaxed. I still love Chiayi ❤️, delicious food and fun activities. In the evening, I went to Jiaxian and visited our family's favorite shop. We met through our round-the-island trip, and have quietly known each other for four years. We see each other almost once a year, and we still chat easily and without any formalities. It's a very special and precious friendship.
