Endless- a documentary (Tuensang, Nagaland)
Tuensang is in a remote part of Nagaland without well connected roads with the rest of the state. The only source of livelihood there is from loading and unloading of goods on trucks. During monsoons, trucks come in less frequency because the roads are inaccessible then and thereby causing fewer earnings for the people. The video focuses on miserable conditions of the people with poverty and unemployed and unmotivated youth prevailing. It also shows government's apathetic attitude towards it. With indifferent communities that are entirely dependent on outside sources, the place was showing no improvements. E.C.S with the help of IGSSS began mobilizing the communities to work for their own development. Another prevailing issue in the area was AIDS with Tuensang having highest rates of HIV AIDS in Nagaland. Also it highlights how youth were led astray into the paths of drugs and it was found in 2002, about 25% of intravenous drug users had AIDS. Hence, rehabilitation and behavioral centers were opened to help them.
