Try singing the scale and any other melodic idea you come up with over a drone to really help train and improve you're ear. I've yet to meet a student without perfect pitch that can sing a whole tone scale so it's an a great challenge to work on at any level. I really like working on whole tone over a blues, using the scale on every dominant chord. I've found this to be a great way to begin using the scale. ~ Enjoy!
