The 2017 version adds support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the Sync 3 infotainment system available to all trims other than the base SE, but other than that, differences are minor. The Edge offers three engines, ranging from a 2-liter 4-cylinder with 245 hp and 275 lb-ft to a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 315 hp and 350 lb-ft. Each engine provides a different feel, but even with the biggest, the Sport trim is fun to drive, but won’t get confused with a sports car. Reviewer Nicole Wakelin notes that while the Edge’s exterior doesn’t stand out visually, the interior offers plenty of room with comfortable seating, even for tall backseat occupants. Her Sport trim’s leather seating looked and felt nice and upscale, although she did find the seating firm enough that she wanted to get out and stretch on a long road trip.
