Kremenchuk hosted a weekly memorial event for the prisoners of war of the Mariupol garrison, as well as all Ukrainian defenders who are in captivity or missing. The event under the slogan “Do not be silent! Captivity kills!” traditionally took place near the former Kredmash Palace of Culture. Participants honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence, performed the National Anthem of Ukraine, and lined up along the road with flags and photos of their relatives. During the event, mothers of missing servicemen shared their search stories. Olena Dzyuba told about her son Yevhen Vynnyk, who disappeared almost two years ago after being captured. Olga Slovtsova continues to search for her son Artem Slovtsov, a marine who last got in touch with the words: “If I don’t call in three days, look for me.” This video contains sincere stories of relatives who do not stop fighting for the return of their loved ones, and an appeal not to forget those who are still in captivity or are considered missing.
