Dirkschneider – "Balls To The Wall" (40th Anniversary) live, Rock Hard Festival l 2025 | Rockpalast

Udo Dirkschneider is an icon of German metal. He rose to fame with Accept, followed by U.D.O. and Dirkschneider. All three bands have one thing in common: classic heavy metal and Dirkschneider's unmistakable voice. In 2025, Dirkschneider was a guest at the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, where Rockpalast recorded their concert and, among other things, his song “Balls To The Wall.” 💡 You can find the entire concert here: https://1.ard.de/Dirkschneider_2025 ✊ Our True & Oldschool Metal Playlist:    • ✊True & Oldschool Metal   Udo Dirkschneider, born in Wuppertal in 1952, is one of the German metal musicians who gained international fame early on, alongside the Scorpions and Doro Pesch. His band Accept made a name for themselves in the 1980s, with their album “Balls To The Wall” selling like hotcakes. Dirkschneider became an icon of the genre thanks to his raspy voice and idiosyncratic stage presence. In 1987, he left Accept on friendly terms and founded the band U.D.O., in which he is the only constant member. With U.D.O., Udo Dirkschneider continues to live out his love of classic heavy metal and tours internationally with the band. From 1992 to 1996, Dirkschneider released three albums with Accept and then went their separate ways again. In 2005, they played a few more gigs together before Accept and Dirkschneider finally parted ways for good. From then on, Dirkschneider performed under his own name.
