Prior to having a prototype I only have expectations based on what product was specifically designed to do. When you finally get the first prototype you can start experimenting in hopes to discover unintended versatility and usefulness. Now that I have the BOX-POT in hand and can physically experiment with it's form and function, I've got to say, (more-so than most products) the BOX-POT is the gift that keeps on giving! Its unique character keeps expressing itself in many different ways, as I use it. This BOX-POT is a heck of a cutie! Everything I try seems to work. I love the versatility its size and shape offers! This little 1quart, 4 inch square pot, combined with a well seasoned stone can cook most anything! 1- Baking (biscuits, rolls, even cake!) 2- Rice Cooker (the cooking stone prevents burning. Makes perfect rice!) 3- Pan fry (the square shape & low profile makes it work) 4- Boil (better than a round pot with pour spout corners & venting lid) 5- Light-Weight & Compact. The bulk to versatility ratio with BOX-POT is off the charts! You can do so much more than with a typical pot (with similar capacity) yet its square shape fits better in your pack. You can do so much more with BOX-POT while remaining light and fast. I love it for Moto-Camping but I can think of several activities where taking a minimal amount of gear is important. With BOX-POT you don't have to compromise any of the cooking fun while still keeping the gear you're packing at a minimum. If you like eating real food rather than "freeze dried" but need to keep your gear at a minimum you'll love BOX-POT! This little guy takes up about the same space as a camping mug but cooks all kinds of food amazingly well! So far, I've made: Bacon & Eggs with Sausage. The square shape and low profile makes pan frying totally doable! Definitely delicious! Biscuits and Gravy. I baked the biscuits using the cooking stone, then cooked sausage and made milk gravy from scratch! Everything cooked in the BOX-POT. Too good to be true! Ramen. I know, not very challenging but the BOX POT is the perfect size and shape for cooking the Ramen noodle block without needing to break it up. Bonus points! Cake. Believe it or not, you can bake a cake to perfection using the box pot with the cooking stone as thermal mass in the bottom. Delectable!
