It lies between Kurort Rathen and Waltersdorf, is 253 meters high, and can be climbed via stairs. There's also a 20-meter-deep cave at the foot of the rock. We continue along the Knotenweg (Knot Trail) up to the Hockstein, a medieval fortification. From here, you have a magnificent view into the Polenztal (Polenz Valley) and across to Hohnstein Castle. Finally, I descend through the Wolfsschlucht (Wolf's Gorge) into the Polenztal (Polenz Valley), which I follow for another 3 km downstream before finally climbing back up to the Ziegenrücken (Goat's Back) ridge.
