First of 2 challenge matches between Cork and Galway U16's in Charleville GAA grounds. Cork came out strong with the advantage of a strong wind in the first half and lead at half time. Galway used the wind to there advantage in the second half but Cork fought hard against the wind to come out on top by 3 points. Final score - Cork 1-24 Galway 1-21.
