Boxford 280T, single Phase conversion & variable speed inverter. How to modernise an older Lathe
In this video I show you my new lathe, a Boxford 280T, a successor to the wonderful AUD, BUD, CUD, TUD, VSL and ME10 lathes. This is a excellent metric machine in cracking condition with very little wear. It can do limited screw cutting, it has power feed for the saddle and cross slide. I show you the process of adding a single phase variable speed inverter, from inverter drive supermarket. This makes it a wonderfully versatile machine.
