Bamenda Provincial ADP 2024
#Beautiful Moments at the 2024 ADP Meeting in Bamenda Welcome to the beautiful moments at the Association of Diocesan Priests (ADP) meeting of the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda. This year, we gathered at the serene St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary (STAMS) in Bambui. The excitement was palpable as priests arrived on Tuesday, greeted old friends, and shared a hearty supper. The joy of reuniting was evident in every handshake and smile. The next day began with the official opening Mass at St. Peter's Parish, Bambui. His Grace Andrew Fuanya Nkea delivered a powerful homily, emphasizing the theme of the conference, "Priest as a Man of Communion." He highlighted the various levels of communion among the clergy, setting the tone for the days ahead. Following the Mass, the official opening ceremony took place. The ADP Chairperson from the host Diocese of Bamenda welcomed everyone warmly. The Archbishop spoke on the importance of the conference, reinforcing the need for unity and communion among the priests. In the afternoon, Fr. Ben Nsom presented a position paper on "Priest as a Man of Communion." His insights sparked deep reflections and set the stage for further discussions. Day three was dedicated to workshops. Priests were divided into four groups to discuss various aspects of presbyteral communion, its feasibility, steps needed to achieve it, and the fruits of living a spirituality of communion. The points from these workshops were then shared in a plenary session, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and In the afternoon, representatives from various dioceses reported on the state of Diocesan priests over the past three years. This was followed by a financial report from the finance secretary, Fr. William Niba. The evenings were filled with communal prayers, shared meals, and recreation, including live music. These moments of fellowship strengthened the bonds among the priests. Every participant seemed impressed and encouraged by the conference. In interviews, they shared their appreciation for the sense of communion and the enriching experiences. The ADP meeting in Bamenda was truly a testament to the spirit of communion. We look forward to more such gatherings that continue to strengthen our bonds and enrich our spiritual journeys. Thank you for watching. Please like, share, and subscribe for more updates.
