VICTORIA MBOKO INJURY | Serena Williams' doubles campaign at Queen's Club in jeopardy
Victoria Mboko suffered a left knee injury after a slip during her singles match against Karolina Pliskova at the Queen’s Club Championships, forcing her retirement and raising serious questions about her doubles quarterfinal with Serena Williams. The 19-year-old Canadian world No.9 was up 4-3 in the second set when she slid awkwardly on the baseline, clutching her left knee. She later described having “no stability” in the knee and withdrew from the tournament.
