As an outsider, coffee in hand, eager to understand before offering opinions, I immersed myself among flags, stories, families, hugs, and testimonies to ask what Pride, diversity, acceptance, and pride truly mean to those who experience it firsthand. In this video, I chat with members of the LGBT+ community, allies, families, mothers accompanying their daughters, lifelong friends, and people who came to the march with very different stories. We talk about love, religion, prejudice, bullying, LGBT rights, identity, the trans community, family acceptance, and something that really got me thinking: how many people just want to live without having to apologize for existing. This isn't a video meant to lecture or tell you what to think. It's a real journey through Pride in Mexico, listening to people on the street, trying to understand, asking respectful questions, and showing those stories that often remain hidden behind the flags, the makeup, and the celebration. Boys and girls, this video really hit me hard. 📍 Video Chapters 00:00 A daughter, a mother, and a moving phrase 00:18 I arrived in Mexico City for the World Cup… and found the Pride March 00:53 What does Pride mean to those who come to support? 01:24 A Christian at the march: love, faith, and conversation 02:04 Lazo and support for his trans brother-in-law 02:57 Mexican family, machismo, and acceptance 04:08 The love of a family that has been there from day one 05:21 Ángela, Laura, and their mother's hug during the march 06:13 “I will always be their mother”: a lesson in love 07:25 Friends of 25 years, husband, nephews, and chosen family 08:27 What it was like to be gay in Mexico 30 years ago 09:14 Activism, the trans community, and LGBT rights 09:32 How to talk about diversity with children? 10:13 Bullying, Pain, and the Importance of Educating with Love 11:30 Final Reflection: Walking Alongside Those We Love 🧳 Who is Kaizzy?
