6 DIFERENÇAS ENTRE A UMBANDA E O CANDOMBLÉ

In Brazil, both Umbanda and Candomblé are extremely popular Afro-Brazilian religions, but they have significant differences. @orgulhoancestral In this video, we discuss six of the main differences between Umbanda and Candomblé, which explains them in an incredibly easy-to-understand way for those who still feel uncomfortable understanding the difference between the two religions. Umbanda is a Brazilian religion that originated from ancient Bantu cults, and Candomblé is also a Brazilian religion that was brought to Brazil by enslaved Africans in the 16th century. Beliefs: Umbanda believes in a supreme God, but also has a number of spiritual entities that are worshiped and invoked during rituals. Candomblé, on the other hand, is more focused on the worship of orixás, which are African deities, but also believes in a Supreme Being. In Umbanda, white clothing is common during rituals, while in Candomblé, the clothing is more colorful and vibrant, often reflecting the personality of the orixá being invoked. Despite these differences, both religions have a strong connection to nature and spirituality, and are important to many people across the country. We hope you enjoy the video and understand these differences so that you can definitively understand that Umbanda does not worship the Orixá at its core, and Candomblé does not work with disembodied spirits.
