Deposition of Vice President of Contacting Company whose Bucket Truck was Involved in Car Wreck

(This deposition got interesting at 1:15:33,    • Deposition of Vice President of Contacting...  ) As our client slowed down for slow-moving traffic on the interstate in Atlanta, Georgia, his life was changed in a flash when he was struck in the rear by a bucket truck operated by a local government contractor. The collision was severe and caused serious injuries to his neck and back. The injuries were not catastrophic – our client could still walk and talk afterward – but he had to endure pain for weeks and months after the collision. Even years afterward, if he moved wrong, slept wrong, or worked out too hard, the pain could come back. In this deposition, we cross-examined the vice president of the contracting company that was operating the bucket truck. We had initially planned for this to be an information-gathering deposition, not anything that we would play for the jury at trial. But the longer we went, the more interesting the deposition became. Pay special attention when the vice president starts answering questions about the driving history of the driver of the bucket truck. He looked a little surprised . . .
