The main reason was that the carbon frame had cracked and I explain how I repaired it. I also explain why I went 1x and decided to ditch the front derailleur for a cleaner, more efficient setup. I prepped the frame myself and had it resprayed professionally by Bodyline Automotive in Gateshead giving it a fresh, factory-quality finish. Along the way, I ran into some compatibility issues—especially with components, chainline and drivetrain setup—and I explain exactly how I solved them.
