How to Fix Your Lawn Mower Not revving up - IN JUST 5 SECONDS!

We know that no matter how solid and powerful our lawn mowers' engines are, they will eventually have mower rev problems which means one day your lawn mower won’t rev up even if you push its speed lever to the max. So even if your engine is a Briggs and Stratton, there will come a time that your lawn mower starts then dies or it won’t rev up. This is what happened to an old Briggs and Stratton lawn mower that was given to me by an old lady who asked me if I wanted it. And yes I took it because I can sense that the reason the lawn mower won’t rev up is because there’s a problem with its mechanism. This machine has an issue that’s easy to fix. What I did was, I started to check out the speed control at the handlebar down to its cable and into the movable mechanism that controls the revolution of the engine. And I observed that the piece of metal that was pulling out the spring was bent. This spring is connected to the gas lever so even if you pull the rev to the max, the metal that’s pulling out the spring won’t move to its full extent. Going back to the mower rev problem, what I did was simply straighten the metal that’s attached to the spring using a pair of long-nose pliers. I did this so that when I pull out the rev clutch and the mechanism moves, the spring will be pulled out to its full tension and eventually also pull out the lever that controls the gas. So if you have the same mower rev problem, observe first what’s going on outside the engine because sometimes the problem can be seen right there.
