Von Chemnitz fahren wir mit Alma nach Gera, wo wir eine Straßenbahn-Sonderfahrt bekommen. Der Verein heißt ja Traditionsgemeinschaft Ferkeltaxi. Frage: Müsste es nicht Ferkeltaxe heißen? Frage: Weiß jemand, was die beiden 670 machen, die in der Prignitz gefahren sind? Ich komme wahrscheinlich erst im Herbst wieder nach Pritzwalk. There is a break in Glauchau. There were only 7 vehicles from the 670 series. The prototype from 1994, the others were build from 1996. The German Railway don`t like this vihicles, for it was susceptible to the wind. You can read more on Wikipedia. I saw two vehicles in Ferropolis in 2002, which later came to the Prignitz in Brandenburg, where they are now not in service. If I go to the Pollo, I'll check it. Until 4 years ago the trains go between Putlitz and Meyenburg. Three units came to the Dessuer-Wörlitz railway. One vehicle 670 002 Alma was treated by thise association in a poor condition. The other two have not been driving since last year due some defects. The station roof of Gera is from 1911. In Gera we get a special sightseeing trip with three historic trams. We pass some beautiful restored houses, and also some ruins. After 1990 many people leave this town. In the loop of the terminus of line 1, we have to wait fot the regular tram. After this we go to the depot. If I heard it correctly, the tram company and bus company are in competition. They don`t work together in there planing. In the depot there are the storage halls, also for the historical units, the workshop and a small nice museum. They use rainwater for cleaning and watering. In my film from 1995 March 18, about a special trip I had written that the SVT 137 225 should be standing at Leipzig main station. On our way back from Chemnitz via Leipzig to Berlin, I can look for it. There are also other historical trains from the Leipzig Railway Museum. Our ICE to Berlin was in time.
