Intensificados los operativos contra la migración irregular en el país

The General Directorate of Migration is intensifying its operations to detain migrants with the goal of repatriating those in an irregular immigration status. According to directives issued at the recent meeting of the National Defense and Security Council, chaired by President Luis Abinader, the deportation of approximately 10,000 foreigners is expected each week. Since early Saturday morning, the Haina Vacation Park has witnessed a constant flow of immigration trucks. Inside, dozens of undocumented individuals face the reality of possible repatriation. Among them is Yonel Pierre, a 16-year-old Haitian boy who arrived in the country two months ago with his father.
