In this video, I take you through five model railroad layouts from the 2024 Hamilton & District Layout Tour, organized by the HOMES club. Each layout is unique, from hyper-detailed industrial scenes to sprawling modern setups. Gary Courtemanche showcases his HO scale "Blood, Sweat, and Tears 3," a masterful recreation of 1940s North American industrial railroads. John Johnson’s Grand Trunk Southern brings the Pennsylvania countryside to life with long trains and a focus on operational reliability in his N scale double-deck layout. Justin Perry presents a modern-day Northern Ontario layout with an advanced DCC system and proto-freelanced operations in his three-level N scale masterpiece. The HOMES club’s Toronto Hamilton and Buffalo Railway layout captures Southern Ontario’s rail history from 1954 to 1958 in an impressive 62 ft by 33 ft HO scale scene. Ron Tuff completes the tour with his meticulously crafted BC Rail layout, set deep in the forests of British Columbia in the mid-1980s.
