TRADITIONAL MEDICINE IN GHANA

In Ghana, many people use both traditional and herbal medicine for treatment. The World Health Organization estimates that there are over one hundred thousand traditional medicine practitioners across the country. However there are concerns that many of the plants and herbs used for treatment face extinction. Some traditional medicine practitioners are calling for more funding into the research of plant medicine in the country. CGTN’s Nabil Ahmed Rufai reports from Accra.
