Pascal’s law- According to the pascal the ‘’pressure intensity at any point inside a fluid at rest is same in all direction .’’ Consider a small prism ABCA’B’C’at a point inside the liquid. Thickness of prism is t. Pressure intensity is p_1on plane ABB’A’,P_2ON BCC’B’ and p_3on ACC’A’ respectively . Pressure intensity are normal to the respective plane. Since point of prism location is in equilibrium so prism shall also be in equilibrium. Now for horizontal equilibrium, p_2×BC×t=p_3×AC×t×sinθ……….(1) For vertical equilibrium, p_1×AB×t=p_3×AC×t×cosθ………..(2) sinθ=BC/AC , BC=ACsinθ cosθ=AB/AC, AB=ACcosθ Type equation here.put in equation (1)… p_2×AC sinθ×t=p_3×AC×ttimes sinθ p_2=p_3 Put in eq…..(2) p_1×AC cosθ×t=p_3×AC×t×cosθ p_1=p_3 p_1=p_2=p_3 Therefore, pressure intensity at a point is same in all directions.
