While in the San Diego area for a motorcycle race we got a tip on where some of the world’s finest Kawasaki two triples reside and we grab our friend, motorcycle restoration expert and Mecum world record holder Nori Miyata and head to Steve Garraffa’s garage where we check out his amazing collection, featuring his mint 1972 Kawasaki H2 750 “Widowmaker.” We get a full tour of Steve’s shop and we get some insight on effective motorcycle restoration is really done, along with some tips. We head into Steve’s living room where we find more motorcycles, including another H2 750, a pair of Kawasaki H1 500s, a Honda Scrambler and other cool bikes. We meet Steve’s lovely wife who supports his hobby and lets him keep bikes in the garage and we get a tour of his polishing corner and his new products he developed for Kawasaki Two Strokes.
