For years, Fender Players were, in my opinion, among the worst guitars ever. They had the Fender name on the headstock and were built to a level no one would want to play. The guitar sounded okay, but the build quality was just lacking. Ugly fretsboards, poorly machined frets, a disaster. 😣 Now the new Fender Player IIs are out, with a series of improvements, and I'm willing to question everything I know about Fender Players, hoping to find an electric guitar worthy of its name. The improvements are many, the most noticeable being the return of rosewood as the fretboard, which almost everyone calls a miracle, but the real improvement is in the attention to quality.
