SIDA : la lutte continue - C'est Pas Sorcier

A quarter of a century after its emergence, AIDS is still here. It's a true pandemic! Every 7 seconds, someone is infected somewhere in the world. And every 10 seconds, another person dies... Thanks to new treatments and prevention campaigns, the number of cases is finally beginning to stabilize. But this virus remains a global scourge. And France—one of the hardest-hit countries in Europe—is far from spared. Between setbacks and successes, Fred and Jamy take stock of more than 25 years of fighting AIDS. Mission: Fred explores the laboratories of the Pasteur Institute to paint a portrait of this virus that wreaks havoc on our immune system. We also meet him with an HIV-positive man who tells him how triple therapy managed to protect him against this terrible disease. Then, Fred spoke with Professor Yves Lévy about the painstaking work of researchers trying to find a vaccine against this constantly mutating virus.
