How to Make a Hurricane - a New Orleans classic
Today I'm showing you how to make a Hurricane! The cocktail, not the tropical storm. There are numerous variations of the Hurricane, so today I'm making two versions. The first I'm going to show you is my go-to recipe. It's equal parts and excellent! The second version is closer to what you'll find at Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans. It seemed appropriate with Pat O'Brien's being the home of the Hurricane. Neither of these recipes have the iconic bright red color, but the natural flavors speak for themselves. I'm considering another Hurricane video down the road where I use fassionola syrup (a long forgotten tiki ingredient) - so let me know if this would be of interest. In the meantime, enjoy these two Hurricanes and see which recipe you prefer! Cheers!
