Mira Adanja Polak: Ekskluzivno - Kako sam doživela Kubu, drugi deo

Many people go to Cuba looking for a break from the fast life and a cure for cancer. I notice great contrasts and actually see two worlds, one that is disappearing and the other that is probably being planned because why would people invest a lot of money in something that is being created. The city is divided into what was, which suggests a culture of that region, and another that suggests big investments and planning for a new future. Businessman Enrique Arias, whose parents are from Cuba, decided to return to the land of his ancestors and start a rum business there. Many people come to Cuba looking for a cure for cancer. In a conversation with oncologist Olga Rodriguez Marrero, I find out what it is really about and what the differences are in the treatment of this disease. Their research center is constantly searching for new methods that are always in collaboration with world cancer treatment centers. The hosts in whose house I stayed talk about life in Cuba. They have a beautiful house that they rent out to visitors. The camera shows magnificent buildings that await new times and the profitability of large investments. The authenticity of the emotions I would receive in direct encounters said much more than what I heard, read or watched. Without knowing the language, I communicated through the exchange of emotions and openness towards the country that was blocked by the coming big capital, which is waiting for changes. The conflict of "haves and have-nots" is obvious and shows that it is just a question of how one sees the essence of life. I met an expert in Cuban cigars who tells me about the types of cigars and the specifics of their production. Everything is a matter of prestige and fashion. The contrasts are great. Archaic American limousines are a tourist attraction, and finding transportation is a real lottery. Will all the newly built luxury buildings and hotels become profitable? These are the risks of those who came here to invest, to make money and wait for it all to pay off. Tourists are not worried about this - they come to the hotels and, to the incredible beaches, the beautiful sea and to buy a Cuban cigar. They can hardly feel everything that is behind the smiling faces of these people. Copyright: Any copying of video and/or audio recordings and posting on other channels is prohibited!
