Hacker Super Sovereign RP75 Pt2. Replace Capacitors , Realign & Retry.
In this video, I replace the perfectly good capacitors for some more capacitors, and correctly align the FM discriminator to remove the distorted FM. I then do a swept alignment of the AM IF stage, something Hacker specify in their manual. Although the normal method of IF alignment is to peak the transformers at a the specified IF, swept alignment will give a nicer sound at the expense of some sensitivity /selectivity loss.
