He discussed his work as a visual artist, the chance encounter that led him to acting, and his close relationship with Mauro Icardi. Joaquín Ferreira's appearance as China Suárez's old flame in "Hija del Fuego, La Venganza de la Bastarda" (Daughter of Fire, The Bastard's Revenge) was the actor's big break, making him popular in Argentina, but he was already a star in Mexico. "I moved to Mexico after a month and a half of living in Playa del Carmen. A woman asked me, 'Are you an actor?' And I said, 'No, but what do I have to do?' She gave me a casting call, and I got the part in a commercial. I went to the Dominican Republic for seven days to film," he told Ciudad, recounting the unexpected turn of events that led him to discover his vocation. “Then I went to study in Mexico City, so I became an actor right away. I finished my studies, and two months later I did a Netflix series, which was Netflix’s first two-part Hispanic series. I mean, a huge deal,” he said, alluding to Club de Cuervos.
