Comparing Yamaha guitalele (nylon) / Ibanez piccolo travel guitar (steel) - MORE INFO in DESCRIPTION

MORE INFO HERE (UPDATED) ~ in this vid I compare my Yamaha GL-1 nylonstring guitalele with my new toy the Ibanez EWP14WB-OPN, a cute little travel size guitar for steel acoustic strings. Both from laminated woods, pretty good intonated and nicely finished out-of-the-box, affordable, and build to be standard tuned in A-to-A ('guitar with capo on 5'). Ofcourse you can tune it otherwise with different gauge strings (ask your local music shop for advise). STRINGS: The Yamaha GL1 can be stringed with either the official guitalele strings, or with a regular nylon guitar string set (high tension would be best, since the scale length is a bit shorter than the 'capo'ed' guitar). For the Ibanez piccolo steel string, 010 - 047 acoustic strings are recommended for standard A to A tuning. You might also like to tune it D to D, as an octave guitar, by taking the thickest string off, move all 5 strings up, and adding a thin 009 or 008 string. The Ibanez has a narrower nut width, like most steelstring guitars. Personally, I think the Ibanez is great for strumming (or maybe adding an extra layer to a recording in octave tuning), while the Yamaha guitalele is still my favourite for fingerpicking.
