ANZAC Day Long Weekend Camping at Kangaroo Valley | Cooking, Wildlife & River Camping

We spent the ANZAC Day long weekend camping at Bendeela Campground in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley region. This spot is known for its close-up wildlife encounters and peaceful riverside camping — and it didn’t disappoint. We explored the campground and surrounding river areas, and had regular visits from wombats, kangaroos, and ducks right through camp. It’s one of those places where wildlife just becomes part of your day, not something you go looking for. We also cooked all our meals at camp, keeping it simple with classic camping dinners while enjoying the outdoors the whole time.
