In this week's Deep Houseboat Life video, we'll show you how to simplify your life with basic tips for living on a houseboat part time as digital nomads. Since buying our part time liveaboard houseboat, we’ve been living and traveling between two locations pretty consistently. Digital nomad life can get complicated and expensive. We’ve worked hard to find the right rhythm and stuff to put in place to keep our lives running from place-to-place, though we are still learning. Here, we chat about the 3 tips for living on a digital nomad houseboat that we’ve used to make sure it isn’t impossible to live on a houseboat and in another location with a baby and dog in tow, while also continuing to work remotely and save money where we can. We'll be honest with you that we aren't full-time liveaboards, which means we aren’t living on a houseboat full time and aren't at our boat 100% of the time. Especially with a baby, our lives can be a bit different than those who are living on a tiny houseboat full time and that come and go from one place. We digital nomads are more nomadic in the sense that we're always on the move between locations and are a bit more location independent. Our main hub has been in our home in the heart of Atlanta. We have lived in the city for over a decade and have built our lives together there. We love it and have gotten to see the city grow up around us, as we were doing the same. Living on a houseboat on Lake Lanier has allowed us to live an alternative lifestyle we've not been able to connect with while living in the city. We consider ourselves to be part-time liveaboards and digital nomads because we're not ready to fully leave Atlanta, and may never be, especially in the world of remote work and laptop lifestyle where location is a bit more fluid and less permanent.
