The Minority had demanded that Dr. Ayine brief lawmakers on the circumstances surrounding the arrest, describing the detention as a possible violation of Mr. Aboagye’s fundamental human rights. However, Mr. Dafeamekpor rejected the call, arguing that there is no basis for summoning the Attorney General before the House on the matter.
